Meet Dr. Karmo!
Dr. Natalia Karmo was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit and attended Oakland University in Auburn Hills, where she received her Bachelor’s degree with honors in Health Sciences. She went on to obtain her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Illinois. As president of her class, Dr. Karmo advocated for her colleagues and her patients by making it a top priority that clinical work was prioritized and patient experiences were optimized. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Karmo moved to Novi, MI where she and her husband, Travis, are raising their two children, Avery & Levi.
Dr. Karmo is passionate about her craft and understands that dentistry is about more than just teeth, it’s about people and relationships. She has a fun-loving personality mixed with a keen attention to detail that really helped her find the field of dentistry as a calling. After years of practice in Oakland County, she is excited to plant her roots in this practice and commit to the long term growth of this practice with all of its exceptional patients and team members.
Dentistry is an ever-evolving field of science and practice which requires constant education and commitment. Dr. Karmo is always keeping up to date by taking part in continuing education courses which better equip her and her staff to treat medically/dentally complex patients, including management of dental anxiety, pediatrics, dental emergencies, implants, oral surgery, and endodontics. She also has extensive experience in esthetic Botox therapy and Invisalign orthodontics. Keeping up with new technological advances and the most up-to-date research allows Dr. Karmo to offer her patients a more streamlined, comfortable, and higher quality dental experience.
Kelly Johnston Gatteri D.M.D.
Dr. Kelly Gatteri graduated from Midwestern University in Illinois. Before dental school, she was born and raised in Milford, Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University. When she is not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids and four pets.
Dr. Gatteri strives to provide compassionate care for her patients and strongly believes in treating patients as she would like to be treated. She is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through preventative and minimally invasive techniques.
Dr Gatteri enjoys educating patients on the connection between oral health and overall well-being. By staying current with latest advancements in dentistry and attending extensive continuing education courses, she ensures her patients receive high-quality care that promotes long-term health.
THE STAFF
Danielle LaBarre | Office Manager
Danielle was born in Wayne, New Jersey and moved to West Bloomfield, Michigan in 1987. She began her career in the dental field as a dental assistant in 2000 and has excelled in a multitude of positions in the dental office. Danielle graduated from Baker College with a B.A. in Business Leadership in 2011 and continued her education at Oakland Community College with a focus on accounting. Excelling in advanced financial courses coupled with enthusiasm for bookkeeping which led her to launch her own business. She joined Dr. Karmo’s practice where she carries the role of Office Manager. Danielle handles all day-to-day operations.
Miranda Kareus | Receptionist
Miranda became apart of our team in April of 2022. In addition to working in the office, she also helps with Dr. Fisher's mobile practice and bartends on the weekends. Miranda has taken some courses at Oakland Community College to study American Sign Language and loves every opportunity she has to communicate with someone who speaks ASL. Miranda likes to be very crafty and creative in her spare time. She likes to paint, but her favorite thing to do is to crochet. Every year Miranda and her friends like to plan a trip out of state to go white water rafting. She has been to West Virginia, Colorado, Georgia, and Wyoming so far!
Katie LaBarre George, RDH | Dental Hygienist
Katie began her career as a dental assistant in 1996 and quickly discovered she had a passion for dental hygiene. She spent years expanding her clinical and clerical skills and enrolled in the Dental Hygiene program at Baker College. Since graduating in May 2013, Katie has been committed to teaching healthy dental habits to both children and adults and strives to deliver optimum patient care to her many satisfied patients.
Katie lives in Waterford with her husband, Nicholas, and their three children Lily, Olivia and Emilia.
Zhanna Muchinik, RDH | Dental Hygienist
Zhanna began her career as a dental hygienist after graduating in 1998 from the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School. Graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene, Zhanna is certified in the administration of local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation. She joined Dr. Fisher's team in 2005, is an active participant in continuing education and passionate about providing excellent care to her patient population. Zhanna's focus is patient education, with the objective of helping her patients maintain an optimal level of oral health.
She resides in Bloomfield Hills with her husband, twin daughters, son and their much-loved Pomeranian, Cookie.
Mazey Kyriakoza | Hygiene & Sterilization Assistant
Mazey started working at Karmo Dental in February of 2023. Mazey works as a sterilization and hygiene assistant, and is training to work as a chairside assistant as well. She currently goes to OCC and is pursuing a degree in dental hygiene. In her free time she loves to spend time with her family and friends and travel whenever she can.
